Role description
Data Consultant (4-Week Data Assessment Engagement) – Outside IR35 Start Date: 19 January Location: London – 3 days/week on site Crosstide is a London-based digital transformation consultancy with a proven track record of delivering high value and complex software development for enterprise businesses. What You’ll Be Doing • Assess the customer’s current data ecosystem, including modelling, analytics engineering, governance, and consumption layers. • Map data flows, ownership, quality, and trust gaps across teams. • Evaluate the current data platform (Snowflake/Databricks or equivalent cloud data warehouse). • Review reporting suites, BI workflows, and predictive analytics usage. • Identify opportunities for improved self-service, data operationalisation, and automation. • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and current pain points. • Deliver a clear set of recommendations for strengthening data architecture, governance, and operating model. Essential Experience • Strong background in enterprise data architecture, data modelling, analytics engineering, and data product development. • Experience building reporting suites, BI workflows, and analytic data models. • Demonstrable experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or other cloud data warehouse technologies. • Strong stakeholder engagement skills - able to extract business objectives and work independently. • Solid project/time management - able to run a structured, time-bound assessment. • Retail experience highly beneficial. Nice to Have • Experience in data governance, metadata management, master data, or data cataloguing. • Customer segmentation or CRM/personalisation analytics experience. • Awareness of unstructured data or GenAI-related data workflows.
