Analytics Engineer
Fully Remote (UK based) | £70,000 to £90,000 + benefits | 12 month fixed-term contract
This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact Analytics Engineer role within a modern data team, supporting critical data products during a planned maternity cover. You will play a key role in maintaining and evolving core data models and pipelines, ensuring continuity across business-critical reporting while contributing to new development work.

They are a fast-growing, fully remote organisation operating in the digital health space, focused on improving outcomes through accessible services and data-led decision making. With a strong social impact mission, they support individuals and organisations with specialist services in a highly regulated environment. Their data function has recently transitioned from early-stage infrastructure into a more mature platform, making this an exciting time to join. Collaboration is remote-first, with optional in-person meet-ups in London.
The Role
You will join a small, high-performing data team, working closely with a Senior Data Engineer and analysts. This role focuses on maintaining momentum across key data initiatives while contributing to ongoing platform development.
• Take ownership of billing and reporting data pipelines, ensuring they remain stable and deliver accurate outputs
• Build, maintain, and optimise dbt models across fact and dimension layers
• Develop new data models to support evolving business requirements
• Work closely with engineering to support data platform workflows across a cloud lakehouse environment
• Review SQL and dbt work from analysts, supporting best practices and production standards
• Operate effectively in a fast-moving environment, taking ownership of deliverables with minimal oversight
Your Skills and Experience
• Strong hands-on experience with dbt, including building and maintaining models
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with Python in a data context
• Experience working within a modern cloud data platform or lakehouse environment
• Solid understanding of data modelling principles, including star schemas
• Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a less structured environment
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and contributing to evolving data practices
Desirable:
• Experience with Databricks or similar platforms
• Background working with regulated data environments or governance-heavy organisations
• Exposure to billing, finance, or reporting pipelines
