Role description
This is a great opportunity for an Analytics Engineer to work with a smart, experienced, and growing team for an established and growing organization. This role will drive various data solutions using both analytical and engineering skills. This role is very business facing and dealing directly with business stakeholders to understand their solution requirements and provide them solutions including data visualization, data reporting, or data engineering to solve a business problem. If you are a data-centered professional with a lifelong love of learning and providing data solutions, this is a fantastic long-term opportunity. Required Skills: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred Must have 4+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering or related field Must have the strong ability and desire to learn new things and be able to mentor others Must have strong SQL experience with data visualization and data analytics background Experience with GIT, Python, Snowflake is preferred but not necessarily required Experience with Coalesce, Airflow/Dagster, semantic layers, data contracts, and CI/CD for data is preferred but not necessarily required Experience with Power BI or Sigma for data visualization is idea but not necessarily required Experience leading the design of enterprise data models that support complex analytics use cases is required Must be able to architect the analytics engineering stack including transformation tools, semantic layers, and data catalogs Must be able to establish organization-wide standards for data modeling, naming conventions, and documentation practices Must be able to drive adoption of analytics engineering practices across teams, enabling self-service analytics at scale Must have experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior team members Must have experience designing and implementing scalable solutions that support business growth Must have experience working in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements and priorities Must have strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Experience with microservices migration and domain-driven design is a plus Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data architectures is ideal Must have the proven ability to drive technical decisions and influence architecture direction Must have strategic thinking with ability to balance technical excellence and business objectives Must have strong influence skills with ability to drive technical decisions and gain stakeholder buy-in Must have resilience and composure when managing competing priorities and high-pressure situations Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
