Role description
Senior Analytics Engineer for a Retail Client We’re seeking a contract Analytics Engineer to support retail data initiatives and help deliver clean, reliable datasets that power reporting, forecasting, and customer insights. Responsibilities β€’ Build and maintain data models in the cloud warehouse using SQL and dbt β€’ Transform retail data (sales, inventory, ecommerce, customer) into analytics-ready datasets β€’ Develop and optimize ELT workflows and improve warehouse performance β€’ Define and maintain business metrics and KPIs β€’ Implement data testing and ensure data quality β€’ Partner with analytics and business teams to support dashboards and reporting Requirements β€’ Strong SQL and dbt experience β€’ Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks β€’ Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster) β€’ Experience supporting BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) β€’ Ability to ramp quickly and work in fast-paced environments Details β€’ Fully remote (must be NY-based) β€’ 40 hours/week (full-time contract) β€’ Initial 6-month contract with likely extension β€’ no C2C or third parties
