Are you ready to use your analytics expertise to drive meaningful change in public service? Trissential is hiring an Analytics Engineer to join our client. Youβll play a key role in building a Data Analytics Repository that supports accurate, timely, and actionable insights across the agency and its partners.
This is a primarily remote role. However, travel may be required based on business needs, including visits to client premises in (St. Paul, MN). Estimated travel: up to 10β20% annually.

Your Role & Responsibilities
Support the Data Management Transformation Program by building a centralized Data Analytics Repository
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytics needs and deliver comprehensive reports, dashboards, and models
Design and implement ETL processes and data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
Develop and maintain data models and warehouse structures using tools like Snowflake and Redshift
Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL and scripting languages
Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are followed
Create visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
Work with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data storage and processing
Apply big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) to support distributed computing needs
Skills & Experience You Should Possess
2 - 5 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or software engineering
Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing tools (Snowflake, Redshift)
Proficiency in ETL development and data modeling
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Programming ability in R, Python, JavaScript, Scala, or C++
Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and security practices
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
Knowledge of big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark)
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience working with government or public sector data
Familiarity with corrections or criminal justice data systems
Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies
Experience with data cataloging or metadata management tools
Education & Certifications You Need:
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
Certifications in cloud platforms or data engineering are a plus
