Role description
• • • Analytics Engineer - Contract • • • I'm working with a business undergoing a key data transformation, and they're looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to support the rebuild and validation of a critical data mart within their data services team. Rate: £450 per day Contract: 3 months IR35: Outside IR35 Location: Remote The Role: · Support the redesign and rebuild of a core data mart, ensuring accuracy and reliability vs legacy systems · Review, understand, and improve existing dbt models (hands-on development) · Perform SQL-based analysis and validation across legacy and new data marts · Troubleshoot data issues and support data quality improvements · Validate data outputs and ensure consistency across systems · Build SQL logic to validate data feeding into Tableau dashboards · Work closely with Analytics Engineers to refine models and improve overall data structure Key Skills: · Strong SQL experience working with complex data models and multiple source systems · Proven experience with dbt (modelling, debugging, optimisation) · Experience working with Redshift or similar data warehouses · Exposure to Tableau or similar BI tools (nice to have) · Strong focus on data validation, accuracy, and troubleshooting · Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment This is a great opportunity to join a high-impact project, playing a key role in improving data quality and supporting a major data platform rebuild.
