Role description
Job Summary
We are seeking a junior Data Engineer and Analytics Visualization Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data visualizations to support business decision-making. The specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams with various engine lines to identify and communicate insights using data from various sources.
Responsibilities
β’ Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Spotfire.
β’ Collaborate with business to gather requirements and understand their needs.
β’ Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and communicate findings to the team for resolution.
β’ Develop and maintain data models, data pipelines, and data warehouses using tools like Dataiku and the Starfish ingestion process.
β’ -Update and maintain distribution lists that send emails to end users based on captured data in the Spotfire reports.
β’ Conduct quality assurance checks on data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
β’ Be able to explain to end-users the details of a report and why it was created that way.
β’ -Flexible and able to learn other ETLs or ingestion processes that provide data for Spotfire should business needs change.
β’ -Flexible and able to learn new BI and dashboard tools to display data, like Palantir, should business needs change.
Qualifications
β’ US Person (living and authorized to work in the US) as data is in vaulted environments
β’ Strong knowledge of data visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization software.
β’ Proficient in SQL and experience with data modeling, data pipelines, and data warehousing.
β’ Experience with data analysis, data mining, and statistical analysis.
β’ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
β’ Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $34.88/hour - $54.50/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
