Role : Apache Solr Engineer | Admin
Location : New York ,NY (Onsite)
Position Type : Contract
Job Description:
β’ "Install, configure, and maintain Apache Solr clusters across multiple environments.
β’ Manage Solr cores, collections, schemas, and configurations to ensure optimal search performance.
β’ Monitor Solr clusters for availability, scalability, indexing throughput, and query latency.
β’ Perform capacity planning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) testing for Solr infrastructure.
β’ Troubleshoot issues related to indexing pipelines, query performance, replication, and cluster stability.
β’ Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and access control.
β’ Apply patches, upgrades, and hotfixes while minimizing downtime and ensuring cluster reliability.
β’ Work closely with development and operations teams to support integration of Solr with APIs, applications, and data pipelines.
β’ Automate administrative tasks through scripts and monitoring tools to improve efficiency.
β’ Maintain detailed documentation for Solr environments, including configuration changes, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting guides."
