Role : Apache Solr Engineer | Admin
Location : New York ,NY (Onsite)
Position Type : Contract
Job Description:
• "Install, configure, and maintain Apache Solr clusters across multiple environments.
• Manage Solr cores, collections, schemas, and configurations to ensure optimal search performance.
• Monitor Solr clusters for availability, scalability, indexing throughput, and query latency.
• Perform capacity planning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) testing for Solr infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot issues related to indexing pipelines, query performance, replication, and cluster stability.
• Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and access control.
• Apply patches, upgrades, and hotfixes while minimizing downtime and ensuring cluster reliability.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to support integration of Solr with APIs, applications, and data pipelines.
• Automate administrative tasks through scripts and monitoring tools to improve efficiency.
• Maintain detailed documentation for Solr environments, including configuration changes, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting guides."
