API Developer Location Pittsburgh, PA | Dallas, TX | Cleveland, OH | Phoenix, AZ | Birmingham, AL | Atlanta, GA (Onsite) Job Summary STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking an API Developer on behalf of our client in Pittsburgh, Dallas, Cleveland, Phoenix, Birmingham, or Atlanta. This role is ideal for a seasoned software professional with extensive experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade APIs and microservices. The successful candidate will play a key role in building scalable integration solutions, enhancing application connectivity, and driving API best practices across enterprise platforms. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. • Implement and support API lifecycle management processes, including design, deployment, versioning, monitoring, and maintenance. • Integrate enterprise applications, platforms, and third-party services. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while optimizing API performance, reliability, and security. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices. • Support system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives within an Agile development environment. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. • 8+ years of software development experience. • 5+ years of hands-on API development experience. • Strong expertise in designing and building RESTful APIs. • Experience working with Microservices Architecture. • Strong understanding of API lifecycle management principles and practices. • Experience integrating enterprise applications and services. • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with API gateways and API management platforms. • Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and services. • Knowledge of API security standards, including authentication and authorization frameworks. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies. • Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
