Salary: $40.00 to $46.00 hourly Description API Management Engineer, Senior Engineer Location: Forth Worth, TX (Hybrid) Duration: 5-month Contract to Hire Job Description Are you ready to join a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional digital products? We are searching for an experienced API Management Engineer to support ongoing technical excellence in our IT Infrastructure Domain. This role will primarily focus on enhancing corporate capabilities through our Corporate Service Bus and Apigee platforms. As part of our team, you will contribute to seamless IT operations while delivering self-service and automated solutions. What You’ll Do • Perform regular maintenance and updates to IT systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide end-user support. • Resolve complex technical problems escalated by Level 1 and Level 2 support teams with expert-level troubleshooting. • Implement security measures to safeguard IT infrastructure from cyber threats and ensure compliance. • Collaborate with network engineers, system administrators, and security specialists to ensure smooth IT system operations and integration. Requirements Qualifications and Skills: Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training. • Availability to work varying shifts (day, night, split, or weekends). Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training. Technical Skills & Experience (Required) • Apigee Expertise: • Design, develop, configure, and troubleshoot APIs and policies using Apigee Edge. • Define and implement API architecture, security measures (OAuth 2.0, SAML, SSL/TLS), and access controls. • Develop guidelines for API publishing, product design, and consumer onboarding on Apigee Developer Portal. • DataPower and IBM Integration Bus: • Design and implement solutions for DataPower Gateway and deploy message flows to brokers. • Troubleshoot network connectivity and authentication/authorization issues with IBM DataPower Gateway and IBM Integration Bus. • General Technical Knowledge: • Familiarity with data privacy, file transfer security, and compliance with PCI/PII standards. • Basic understanding of Windows and Linux environments. • Workflow and ITSM tools experience, with proficiency in ticketing systems. Additional Skills • Excellent customer service and communication skills to interface with all organizational levels. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and process consistency.
