API Management Lead (AWS)

NO C2C OR 3 PARTY SUPPORT / MUST HAVE GC OR EAD TO BE ELIGIBLE. We are seeking an experienced API Management Lead to design, develop, and plan a MuleSoft to AWS migration. This role will be responsible for leading API strategy and implementation to enable seamless connectivity across critical enterprise systems and AWS-based applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in integration patterns, API-led connectivity, Lambda and Mulesoft connectors. A strong understanding of regulated environments such as biotech, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare is a plus. We are not hiring a MuleSoft Developer Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, planning and migration. • Define and enforce API governance, standards, and best practices across the organization • Apply modern integration patterns (e.g., API-led connectivity, event-driven architecture, microservices) to solve complex business challenges • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to translate requirements into technical solutions • Oversee the full API lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GxP where applicable) • Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability of integrations Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 7+ years of experience in enterprise integration and API development • Strong experience integrating/migrating AWS-based applications • Deep knowledge of integration patterns (e.g., publish/subscribe, request/reply, batch processing, event streaming) • Strong understanding of system architecture, scalability, and performance optimization Key Competencies • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment • Effective communication skills, both technical and non-technical • Strategic hands-on thinker with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
