Role description
Our client is looking for a motivated Apigee Engineer with 6 years of hands-on experience in API Gateway management and observability tools. The role involves supporting daily operations, assisting in automation efforts, and ensuring the reliability of our Apigee platform. This position offers exposure to large-scale API environments and opportunities to grow in automation and SRE practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Apigee API Gateway day-to-day operations, including proxy deployment, policy updates, and certificate management.
• Assist in building and maintaining Datadog dashboards and monitors for API health and performance visibility.
• Troubleshoot incidents under senior engineer guidance and contribute to RCA documentation.
• Contribute to automation scripts and operational playbooks (Python, Shell, or Ansible).
• Work with internal teams to ensure secure and stable API platform operations.
• Maintain and update runbooks, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
Salary/Rate: $55-$75/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
