Application Modernization Architect 📍 Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Visa : USC/GC/H1B 💼 Experience: Minimum 15+ years in IT 🕒 Availability: Immediate Hiring 📧 Apply: careers@technotalent.us Project Overview Join our CATO (Cloud Adoption & Transformation Operations) program to drive enterprise-scale cloud modernization and transformation initiatives. As an Application Modernization Architect, you’ll lead portfolio assessment, application rationalization, and modernization efforts—helping transition complex, legacy systems into modern, cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure. Key Responsibilities • Lead application portfolio assessments and rationalization using the 6R framework (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Rearchitect, Replace, Retire). • Architect and design modernized cloud-native solutions for legacy applications (Java/.NET, Oracle/SQL Server, packaged apps, and mainframe). • Define and implement Azure-first architectures leveraging: • AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) • App Service / Azure Functions • API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Logic Apps, Key Vault • Drive CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or Bicep. • Lead containerization strategies using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. • Oversee data modernization efforts involving Azure SQL MI, DMS, and Cosmos DB; exposure to Synapse or Data Factory preferred. • Collaborate with cloud, security, and business teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing designs.
