Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ - 5 Days Onsite

Job Summary
As an Application Operations (AppOps) Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and operational readiness of enterprise applications that support our digital and card services ecosystem. This role provides hands‑on technical support across distributed systems, web services, batch workloads, file transmissions, and hybrid cloud platforms.
Engineers in this position may be aligned to various application domains based on business need, including back‑office processing, web/API services, token provisioning systems, internal applications, or emerging digital products.
This is a highly technical, fast‑paced operational role responsible for triage, root cause analysis, automation, monitoring improvements, and continuous enhancement of high‑availability, 24x7 applications.
· Provide hands‑on technical support for production and non‑production applications across multiple platforms (Linux, Unix, or Windows environments).
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues in multi-tier distributed systems, APIs, web services, and batch/transaction processing environments.
· Participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call schedule, responding to escalations affecting clients, transactions, tokens, batch jobs, file transmissions, and/or internal workflows.
· Create and enhance monitoring, dashboards, alerts, and health checks using enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, ExtraHop).
· Implement and automate operational tasks including deployments, environment validation, job monitoring, error detection, and alert remediation.
· Support release deployments, configuration updates, change management activities, and fallbacks during maintenance windows.
· Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure applications are production‑ready.
· Analyze production incidents, identify patterns, and contribute to root cause analysis (RCA), preventive actions, and continuous improvement.
· Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, runbooks, and support procedures.
· Support capacity planning, performance tuning, stability initiatives, and ongoing modernization efforts.
