Applications Dev & Test - AI Data Engineer 3
Location: Redmond, Washington (Hybrid)
Role Overview
An AI Data Engineer is needed to design, develop, enhance, and support telemetry reporting, data solutions, automation, and AI-assisted solutions. This role focuses on developing reports, dashboards, data models, and automation components to improve telemetry coverage, availability, and data quality. The position involves contributing to telemetry and service health initiatives by building solutions that provide actionable insights into service performance.
Key Responsibilities
โข Design, develop, and maintain telemetry reporting, data solutions, automation, and AI-assisted solutions.
โข Develop and enhance Power BI reports, Grafana dashboards, and semantic models to deliver business insights.
โข Develop and optimize Azure Data Explorer (Kusto/ADX) queries, functions, and data models.
โข Integrate enterprise data sources and develop supporting SQL queries, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
โข Develop automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, C#, or similar scripting languages.
โข Develop AI-enabled reporting and analytics agent components, including Copilot Agents and prompt assets.
โข Validate data quality, business logic, and the accuracy of reports and dashboards.
โข Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with data pipelines, queries, and production solutions.
โข Create and maintain technical documentation and support engineering best practices.
โข Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with telemetry and analytics platforms. Proficiency in Power BI, Grafana, SQL/Kusto, Python, PowerShell, or C#. Expertise in data engineering, ETL/data pipelines, automation, and AI-assisted reporting solutions is required.
Preferred Qualifications
โข Experience supporting telemetry health and availability monitoring.
โข Experience with operational dashboards and enterprise-scale reporting environments.
