Apptio Developer

Job Title: Apptio Developer (TBM Studio) Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid) Duration: 18+ months Rate: $65-$70/hour W2 Role Overview: We are seeking a highly hands-on Apptio Developer with deep experience building solutions in TBM Studio within enterprise environments. This role will focus on developing and maintaining Apptio data models, workflow frameworks, reporting, and integrations that support demand intake, governance, and operational reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing scalable Apptio data structures, transformation pipelines, and workflow processes, while ensuring high data quality and reliable reporting outputs. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop solutions within Apptio TBM Studio, including data tables, transformations, models, metrics, and reporting artifacts. • Implement and maintain end-to-end demand intake workflow frameworks within Apptio including request capture, routing logic, validations, approvals/rejections, exception handling, and lifecycle tracking. • Build and maintain Apptio data tables and transformation pipelines including ingestion, joins, filters, mapping, formulas, and partitioning to support workflow and reporting structures. • Extend and maintain the Apptio data model to support demand objects, routing attributes, governance stages, and operational reporting outputs. • Develop data quality validation controls and governance guardrails, including reconciliation checks, standardized fields, and exception detection mechanisms. • Create modeled and calculated metrics to support KPI reporting such as demand volume, cycle time, aging, status distribution, and exception rates. • Design and deliver Apptio dashboards, reports, and exports that provide transparent, traceable operational insights for stakeholders. • Implement and manage integration patterns using Apptio Platform APIs and/or DataLink connectors to support automated inbound and outbound data exchanges. • Manage development activities within TBM Studio environments, including version control, project administration, promotion processes, and release readiness. • Collaborate with stakeholders across TBM, PPM, ITSM, and workflow platforms to support technology governance processes. • Operate within Agile delivery frameworks, ensuring strong documentation, testing discipline, and stakeholder communication. Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience as an Apptio Developer in enterprise environments. • Strong hands-on development experience in Apptio TBM Studio. • Experience working with Apptio data tables, transforms, models, metrics, and reporting artifacts. • Experience designing workflow frameworks and demand intake models within Apptio. • Strong experience building data ingestion and transformation pipelines. • Experience implementing data validation rules and data quality frameworks. • Experience designing KPI reporting and operational dashboards. • Experience integrating Apptio with other platforms using Apptio APIs or DataLink connectors. • Experience working within Agile delivery environments. • Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience integrating Apptio with PPM, ITSM, or workflow platforms. • Familiarity with Technology Business Management (TBM) frameworks. • Experience working within large enterprise or financial services environments. • Experience supporting governance reporting and operational metrics frameworks. Nice to Have • Experience with data modeling and enterprise data governance frameworks. • Experience supporting financial transparency, demand management, or IT cost management initiatives.
