We are looking for an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This is a contract-to-permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI technologies to real-world challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, data preprocessing, and model development, as well as a keen interest in exploring innovative AI tools and frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Design, train, and optimize machine learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and Keras.
Integrate AI solutions into existing applications and services within secure on-premises environments.
Experiment with large language models (LLMs) and agent-based coding tools to assess their potential for automation and analytics.
Process and analyze structured and unstructured data from various internal systems to enhance model performance.
Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with Criminal Justice Information Systems and Personally Identifiable Information protection standards.
Work alongside analysts and IT professionals to identify opportunities for AI-driven operational improvements.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and prototype new tools while adhering to data governance principles.
Conduct feature engineering and model evaluations to refine AI solutions.
Requirements
Proficiency in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and Keras.
Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines, and AI agent frameworks.
Strong programming skills in Python or C#.
Knowledge of secure coding practices and data protection standards.
Ability to work with structured and unstructured datasets from various sources, including databases, APIs, and logs.
Analytical skills to solve complex problems and implement innovative solutions.
Effective communication abilities for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
