Business Analyst

Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging business needs with technical solutions, leveraging data analysis and visualization tools to inform strategic decision-making. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop insights, and support project delivery through various stages of the SDLC. The Business Analyst will utilize a broad set of skills including data analysis, database design, and project management to optimize business processes and drive data-driven initiatives. Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to support project objectives and operational improvements. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization tools to communicate insights effectively. Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement database solutions utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other database systems. Support data integration efforts through ETL processes using Talend, Python, Bash (Unix shell), and other scripting tools. Participate in Agile project management methodologies to ensure timely delivery of solutions aligned with business priorities. Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables within the SDLC framework. Conduct data analysis using SQL, R, VBA, and analytics techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements. Design database schemas and perform database design activities to support business needs. Create process diagrams and documentation using Visio for project planning and system design purposes. Engage in business analysis activities related to linked data integration and advanced analytics initiatives. Skills Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, Looker for data visualization. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Project management principles. Experience with SDLC processes for software development projects. Programming skills in Python, R, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), with experience in ETL workflows. Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle databases, including database design and SQL query development. Knowledge of Business analysis best practices with strong analysis skills. Familiarity with Data analysis skills including statistical methods and trend analysis. Experience working with Talend for data integration tasks. Understanding of Linked data concepts and their application in analytics projects. Ability to work with Visio for process mapping and documentation purposes.
