Overview
The AI Analyst will play a key role in supporting AI initiatives, particularly within the context of a law firm. This role bridges technical concepts with practical legal applications, helping design, deploy, and optimize AI-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, innovation, and client service.

Responsibilities
β’ Contribute to the firmβs AI strategy and roadmap, aligning initiatives with business objectives and client service goals
β’ Support AI adoption across practice areas, driving innovation and competitive advantage
β’ Evaluate and apply emerging AI/ML technologies (LLMs, generative AI, NLP) to use cases such as patent analysis, prior art searches, contract review, and e-discovery
β’ Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and pilot projects to assess feasibility and impact of new tools
β’ Collaborate with attorneys, IT, knowledge management, and operations teams to design and implement AI solutions
β’ Translate business and legal needs into technical requirements for AI development and deployment
β’ Oversee the AI solution lifecycle β from ideation and prototyping to deployment and monitoring
β’ Apply best practices using tools such as MS Copilot, Agents, and Ollama to ensure scalable and secure solutions
β’ Develop and deliver training to promote AI literacy and adoption across the firm
β’ Support ethical AI frameworks and governance policies to ensure fairness, transparency, and compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, ABA guidelines)
β’ Monitor risks and contribute to discussions on AI ethics, accountability, and governance
β’ Define and track KPIs to evaluate AI initiative success and refine solutions using data-driven insights
β’ Stay current with developments in AI/ML, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), and legal technology
β’ Manage vendor relationships, including selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree required; preferred in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field
β’ Minimum of 2 years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science, or legal technology, with demonstrated success in implementing AI projects
β’ Experience in a law firm or legal setting preferred, particularly in knowledge management or practice support
β’ Direct experience with AI solutions for legal applications (e.g., patent research automation, document analysis, knowledge management tools) highly desirable
β’ Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and applications (LLMs, generative AI, NLP, predictive analytics)
β’ Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL, and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
β’ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering practices
β’ Familiarity with legal tech tools (USPTO systems, PatBase, Harvey) a plus
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
β’ Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
