Role description
Data & AI Engineer / ML & AI Engineer We’re supporting a leading banking organisation as they expand their Data and AI capability, and we’re hiring for two contract roles: Data & AI Engineer and ML / AI Engineer. You’ll be working on production-grade AI systems, helping design, build and deploy modern ML and LLM-powered solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment. Contract details • Initial 6–12 month contract with strong extension potential • UK-based / hybrid working • Working alongside experienced engineers shaping the future AI stack within the organisation Key responsibilities • Build and deploy AI and ML solutions in production environments • Develop and optimise data pipelines and AI workflows • Design and implement RAG pipelines and LLM-based applications • Work with agentic AI frameworks and multi-agent architectures • Collaborate with platform and data teams across Azure or GCP ecosystems • Ensure models and systems are scalable, monitored and production-ready Required experience • Strong Python engineering background • Experience building production-grade ML or LLM applications • Hands-on with RAG pipelines, prompt engineering and LLM workflows • Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI or similar • Understanding of MLOps / LLMOps, including monitoring and evaluation • Experience working with Azure or GCP Nice to have • Understanding of Responsible AI practices, including AI risk, ethics and guardrails • Experience contributing to AI architecture and platform decisions This is a strong opportunity to work on genuinely impactful AI programmes, shaping how advanced AI capabilities are built and deployed within a major financial services environment.
