Job Description: Job Title: AI Engineer Contract on W2 Location: Onsite: Redmond, WA Duration: 12 months Typical Day in the Role • Purpose of the Team: The purpose of the team that focus on end-to-end technology for surface devices, including camera, display, sensor, audio, etc. The team will be focusing on sprints – 6 weeks per project • Key projects: This role will design and implement a suite of AI-powered agentic services—including reporting automation, codename mapping, team concierge agents, telemetry insights, and onboarding support. Will partner directly with the PM on the team to provide the best design. • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: Sprint 6-week cadence: A Typical day in the role will include limited meetings, research/prototyping a week, design a few days, initial implementation 1 week, one or two weeks testing out the implementation/fixing any issues Compelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition What makes this role interesting? – This role is uniquely centered on artificial intelligence and MS most advanced technologies. As well as experience with MS AI & automation stack: Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Azure OpenAI, Power BI, Copilot Agent, Agent-based architectures (e.g., MCP, Semantic Kernel, Copilot Studio), Prompt engineering and LLM orchestration, Scripting and agent development • Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on the quality of work, meet deliverables on time, and ability to be proactive. Preferred Experience: • MS AI & automation stack: Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Azure OpenAI, Power BI, Copilot Agent • Agent-based architectures (e.g., MCP, Semantic Kernel, Copilot Studio) • Prompt engineering and LLM orchestration • Scripting and agent development Job Responsibilities: • Build intelligent automation workflows that extract, transform, and standardize data from Azure DevOps, Excel, and internal systems • Integrate LLM-based components (e.g., Azure OpenAI) to generate summaries, insights, and narratives Develop reusable agentic services for codename mapping, team concierge support, telemetry insights, and onboarding • Collaborate with PMs and stakeholders to define scalable templates and standards • Maintain prompt logic and ensure agent reliability, traceability, and performance • Conduct testing, validation, and continuous optimization of automation systems • Customize and implement system software to meet evolving requirements • Perform QA, unit testing, and post-deployment validation Qualifications: • 2–4 years of experience in software development or automation engineering • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design • Experience with large-scale systems, troubleshooting, and legacy modernization • Agile development experience and strong problem-solving skills Please let me know if this is something you would love to do and help me with your updated resume.
