We are looking for an experienced and motivated AI/NLP Engineer to support the development and deployment of advanced language model applications.
Role Overview:
Build and refine applications leveraging large-scale language models and applied natural language processing
Create frontend experiences for internal and external users using Python-based tools
Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and delivery workflows
Develop and manage containerised environments with orchestration layers
Deploy across multiple cloud providers with a focus on AI services
Contribute to early-stage product shaping, from prototype to production
Collaborate across engineering, product, and non-technical functions
Required Experience:
5+ years professional experience in similar roles
Prior work delivering NLP or LLM-based tools in a production setting
Solid proficiency in Python, including frameworks used to build lightweight user interfaces
Understanding of integration and deployment automation
Familiarity with containerisation and cloud-native architecture
Experience working across two or more major cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
Background in engineering or computer science, ideally at postgraduate level
Strong communication skills and experience in multi-disciplinary teams
Contract length - 6 months initially (possibility for extension)
Location - Birmingham - hybrid
