Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain applications that generate code, pipelines, and web applications via prompt-based interfaces
β’ Experiment with and implement advanced LLM and Agentic AI technologies to enhance application capabilities
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate adoption of AI-driven software creation tools
β’ Ensure compliance with Duke Energyβs AI policies
β’ Stay current with advancements in Gen AI, LLMs, Blockchain, and Quantum Computing
β’ Optimize AI models for performance, scalability, and accuracy
β’ Provide technical mentorship to junior team members
Required Qualifications
β’ Hands-on experience with Agentic AI technologies
β’ Familiarity with tools such as AWS Agentcore, Azure Foundry (Azure AI Studio), or similar platforms
β’ Proven experience in Generative AI (Gen AI) model development
β’ Proficiency with Gen AI tools such as Claude, OpenAI GPT, GitHub Copilot (non-exhaustive)
β’ Experience developing Gen AI applications within large organizations
β’ Strong software engineering background
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or 8 years of equivalent work experience
β’ 2β3 years of hands-on experience implementing Generative AI solutions
β’ 4β5 years of software engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Strong background in AI and machine learning
β’ Experience with Agentic AI technologies and applications
β’ Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision
β’ Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools
β’ Passion for researching and staying up-to-date with Gen AI products and LLMs
β’ Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, React, and Angular
β’ Solid understanding of the AWS platform
β’ Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
