Role description
Job Title: Artificial Intelligence Technical Lead
Location: Remote, (Dallas TX)
Position Description
We're growing rapidly and are looking for an Artificial Intelligence Technical Lead responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-grade agentic AI architectures, enabling autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents to perform complex tasks across business domains. This role will be instrumental in establishing the frameworks, protocols, and engineering standards that power safe, reliable, and scalable AI agent systems.
Modern agentic AI requires a blend of robust orchestration, multi-agent coordination, secure tool integration, and advanced governance frameworks. You will collaborate with our Architecture team, AI/ML Engineers, Software Engineers, and Product stakeholders to design, implement, and scale agentic AI solutions that interact safely with enterprise systems, external APIs, and human operators.
. Lead the design and development of scalable agentic AI frameworks, including multi-agent orchestration patterns, task planners, and execution pipelines
. Architect protocols and integrations (e.g. Model Context Protocol servers, API gateways, secure tool registries) enabling agent-to-agent and agent-to-human interactions
. Define and drive the technical roadmap for agentic AI solutions, including evaluation of emerging frameworks such as LangGraph, Bedrock Agents, Strands, and CrewAI
. Establish and maintain agent, prompt, and tooling registries as reusable artifacts
. Ensure low-latency, high-reliability orchestration across multi-agent workflows, with robust fallback, retry, and recovery mechanisms
. Implement advanced observability and auditability systems for AI agents, including traceability, explainability, and governance-by-design
. Establish secure integration standards for tool use (e.g. API authentication, RBAC, data sanitization, and policy-gated execution)
. Ensure compliance with all applicable AI governance, ethical, and regulatory frameworks (e.g. privacy-by-design, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001)
. Build monitoring and alerting pipelines that provide real-time visibility into agent decision-making, execution success/failure, and dependency health
. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Engineers, Legal/Compliance, and Business stakeholders to translate business needs into agentic AI technical capabilities
. Drive innovation in planning, memory, context engineering, and knowledge integration to enhance agent autonomy and reliability
. Develop roadmaps balancing delivery speed, technical debt management, and long-term platform scalability
. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams building agent frameworks, APIs, and integrations
What You'll Bring:
. 8+ years of software engineering experience with focus on AI/ML, distributed systems, or platform engineering
. 3+ years in senior technical leadership roles managing engineering teams.
. Deep experience with business process orchestration
. Expert-level Python and experience with multiple programming paradigms
. Experience integrating with the full AWS stack (Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, S3, Redshift, VPC) and enterprise data platforms
. Proven ability to design agent-safe protocols (e.g., MCP, API sandboxes, tool registries)
. Strong background in distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and low latency orchestration
.Direct experience implementing AI observability tooling for tracing and evaluation
. Experience balancing innovation with stability in mission-critical AI infrastructure
. Familiarity with metadata management, data lineage, and knowledge graph integration for agent context
. Skilled in agile methodologies and iterative delivery of complex systems
. Experience with governance and compliance frameworks for enterprise AI adoption
. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, from engineers to executives
. Track record of driving technical initiatives across multiple teams and organizations
. Strong conflict resolution, prioritization, and consensus-building skill
. Commitment to building responsible, ethical, and explainable AI systems
. Proven ability to mentor and develop inclusive, high-performing teams.
