Description:
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Configuration: Lead the installation, configuration, and scaling of IP.21 servers across multiple sites.
Data Integration: Configure and manage interfaces (OPC, ODBC, RDBMS) to pull data from various DCS/PLC systems into the IP.21 historian.
System Maintenance: Perform routine health checks, database tuning, and upgrades/patches for the IP.21 suite.
Visualization & Analytics: Develop and support user-facing tools such as Aspen Process Explorer (APE), Aspen Production Record Manager (APRM), and SQLplus queries.
Enterprise Support: Provide high-level troubleshooting for data connectivity issues and collaborate with stakeholders to define data architecture standards.
Required Technical Skills
Core Platform: Deep expertise in AspenTech InfoPlus.21 (v12+ preferred).
Scripting/Querying: Proficiency in SQLplus, Fortran, or VBScript for custom calculation engine development.
Connectivity: Strong understanding of OPC DA/UA,Modbus, and interface troubleshooting.
Infrastructure: Familiarity with Windows Server environments, SQL Server, and virtualization (VMware/Azure/AWS).
Qualifications:
4+ years of hands-on experience specifically with AspenTech IP.21.
Background in Chemical, Petroleum, or Manufacturing Engineering (or Computer Science with heavy industrial experience).
Proven ability to manage "Enterprise-wide" rollouts rather than just single-site maintenance.
