Argenta Private Capital Limited (APCL) is a leading adviser to private and corporate capital at Lloyd’s, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, which advises over 480 clients underwriting £5.1bn of premium. APCL advises High Net Worth (“HNW”) and Ultra HNW individuals together with private offices on how to provide capital that supports underwriting at Lloyd’s and which syndicates to support. This participation allows them to benefit from the dynamic and profitable business of insurance that is an essential part of the world’s economy. The returns from underwriting tend not to be correlated with the returns from other investments making Lloyd’s attractive to those also seeking diversification within their investment portfolio. About the role - This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract opportunity
• Reporting to the Operations Manager, your primary objective is to provide support and administration to members of the Operations Team.
As the Assistant Technical Officer, your key responsibilities will involve
• Assist with the administration of APCL clients affairs, including funds documentation and instructions received from client directors.
• Record and process client banking instructions through online banking platform.
• Perform Anti-Money Laundering checks on incoming money to APCL.
• Assist members of the Operation Team with business administration.
• Recording data on databases and spreadsheets (Synopsis, Argenta Framework and SharePoint).
• Providing reports to clients and APCL staff when required.
• Scanning, profiling and distribution of dividend vouchers.
• Perform analysis and reporting in support of the Operations and Research Teams.
• Assist in the production of Management Information reports for Committees and APCL Board.
• Scanning and profiling of documents as required into the SharePoint system.
• Undertake any other related duties as may be reasonably required.
• Working for a regulated Company, you will be expected to perform your duties to the highest of standards, in accordance with the following Conduct Rules as specified by the FCA:
-You must act with integrity
-You must act with due care, skill and diligence
-You must be open and co-operative with the FCA, PRA and other regulators
-You must pay due regard to the interests of customers and treat them fairly
-You must observe proper standards of market conduct.
About you
• No previous Lloyd’s market experience required but previous experience in a financial organisation and administrative role is advantageous.
• Ideally, some prior knowledge and experience of Financial Sector industries (e.g. Banking or other Financial Institutions, in particular those focusing on private clients and high net worth individuals).Good knowledge of MS Excel (lookups and pivot tables frequently used), MS Word and generally competent in the use of standard office IT applications.
• Attention to detail and an interrogative approach to work.
• Deal competently with pressure and be able to prioritise workload.
• Capable of developing and maintaining effective relationships at all levels. Good communication skills, both oral and written
