Atlassian Engineer

This role focuses on managing, customizing, and optimizing Atlassian tools—primarily Jira and Confluence—to support business processes and ensure smooth operations across teams. As an Atlassian Engineer, the candidate will: Administer and maintain Atlassian applications to ensure strong performance, uptime, and reliability. Customize Jira (workflows, permissions, schemes, project setups) based on team and project requirements. Develop integrations and automations, connecting Atlassian tools with other SaaS platforms, using APIs, Groovy/Python, and scripting. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver system enhancements or new configurations. Improve efficiency by identifying opportunities for process automation and implementing solutions. Support users by troubleshooting and resolving application issues. Participate in Atlassian-related projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope. Perform system audits, stay updated on new features, and implement best practices to improve usability and performance. Requirements Has 2–4 years of experience as an Atlassian Engineer. Has at least 1 year of experience with SaaS integrations/automations and a strong understanding of REST APIs, OAuth, Jira, Confluence, and plugins. Skilled in Groovy/Python and SQL. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills. Experience with both cloud and on-prem Atlassian environments is a plus.
