Automation Analyst – Contract (Outside IR35) Location: Glasgow, Edinburgh, (Hybrid working – flexible remote options) Security Clearance: BPSS required We are seeking proactive Automation Analysts to join a multi-year Quality Assurance transformation programme within a major project. Automation is central to this programme — not an afterthought — with a focus on enabling continuous improvement, scalable delivery, and sustainable value. This is a hands-on, visible role, not back-office scripting. You’ll play an active part in delivery, capability uplift, and driving long-term automation success. Key Responsibilities: • Take over and enhance existing automation frameworks, ensuring knowledge capture and continuity • Build reusable libraries and CI/CD-aligned frameworks to support ongoing projects • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites (UI and API layers) • Ensure test coverage, regression readiness, and automation stability across environments • Support automation uplift and knowledge transfer to client teams • Contribute to automation governance — reporting KPIs, proposing improvements, influencing strategy Who We’re Looking For: • A delivery-focused Automation Analyst / Consultant • Thinks beyond “just writing scripts” — contributes to automation strategy, process improvement, and sustainable value • Operates with a consultant mindset — enabling, educating, influencing client teams • Strong in documentation and leaves behind usable, high-quality assets • Communicates automation insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders Key Tools & Tech Stack: • Test Management & Reporting: qTest, Jira, Xray, Allure Reports, Confluence • CI/CD Integration: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD pipelines • Version Control & Build: Git, Gradle • Automation Tools: Selenium, Playwright, Serenity BDD, Cucumber, Postman, REST Assured, IntelliJ, Gradle, Appium • Bonus / Optional: OWASP ZAP, SonarQube, Burp Suite, SQLMap, Nmap, NeoLoad, JMeter, BlazeMeter, Lighthouse, Testim, TestGPT, TestSigma All our roles are UK based.
