Calculated Hire is in search of a Business Execution Consultant I β Automation Analyst for our Fortune 100 Financial Services company. You will be responsible for the following components:
OVERVIEW:
You will join the Derivative Operations group within the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) to lead and deliver a range of impactful automation initiatives. This role involves hands-on development, stakeholder engagement, and prioritization of a large backlog of process improvement opportunities. Your work will accelerate operational transformation, reduce manual work, and create sustainable automation frameworks across the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
β’ Serve as the primary automation developer and analyst for a backlog of ~50 process improvement initiatives spanning CIB Operations and Business
β’ Translate complex business problems into actionable, scalable automation solutions using Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, and Xceptor (or similar low/no-code tools)
β’ Lead requirement-gathering sessions with stakeholders and submitters to ensure detailed understanding and alignment
β’ Build and iterate solutions quickly, incorporate feedback, and deploy automations that deliver measurable impact
β’ Actively recommend tools, platforms, or development approaches to prioritize and address various use cases
β’ Manage project timelines, provide status updates, and ensure transparent progress reporting across all automation initiatives
β’ Collaborate with a group of tech-forward SMEs within Derivatives Operations to triage and drive automation efforts
β’ Support broader digital transformation initiatives and future-state automation goals for the group
TOP SKILLS:
β’ 4β6 years of experience in developing automation and analytics solutions, with a focus on:
β¦ Alteryx (high priority)
β¦ Power BI and Tableau
β¦ Xceptor (or similar low/no-code platforms like Power Automate)
β’ Proven track record of turning business requirements into actionable automation solutions
β’ Strong process improvement mindset and ability to balance speed vs. sustainability of solutions
β’ Comfort managing multiple deliverables while ensuring thorough communication and updates to stakeholders
SOFT SKILLS:
β’ Confident working independently, taking ownership of end-to-end delivery
β’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage directly with business and operations stakeholders
β’ Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
β’ Collaborative approach to working with SMEs and leadership
NICE TO HAVE:
β’ Familiarity with Jira, SQL, and broader Intelligent Automation tools in large enterprise environments
β’ Exposure to Capital Markets Operations and derivatives processes
β’ Experience mentoring or coordinating with other technical resources
EXPERIENCE:
β’ Previous financial services, capital markets, or derivatives operations experience is a plus but not required β the primary focus is on automation expertise and stakeholder collaboration
