Automation Developer (VMware to Kubernetes Migration Support)

Contract : Long-term

About role :

We are seeking a highly motivated Automation Specialist to join our client’s team. In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting the migration from VMware to Kubernetes, while supporting automation and infrastructure management across diverse environments. This is a hands-on position requiring strong scripting skills, knowledge of cloud platforms, and experience in managing complex virtualized environments.

Required Skills:

   • 5-7 years in System or Automation engineering role

   • Proficiency in developing automation scripts in Python and Ansible

   • Experience working in both Linux and Windows environments.

   • Familiarity with REST APIs architecture

   • Solid understanding of virtualization technologies

   • Knowledge of Kubernetes

Responsibilities:

   • Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate VM provisioning, network configuration, and other infrastructure tasks.

   • Support the migration of virtual environments from VMware to Kubernetes.

   • Create, configure, and manage VMs to meet the needs of various internal teams.

   • Interface with REST APIs and manage systems in both Linux and Windows environments.

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline infrastructure processes using Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
