Role description
Duration: 3+ Months Location: IL-Crete, Hybrid 3-4 days onsite Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Data Engineer, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges. Responsibilities β€’ Design and develop scalable Big Data Warehouse solutions across the entire data supply chain β€’ Create or implement solutions for metadata management β€’ Create and review technical and user-focused documentation for data solutions (data models, data dictionaries, business glossaries, process and data flows, architecture diagrams, etc.) β€’ Extend and enhance the business Data Lake β€’ Solve for complex data integrations across multiple systems β€’ Design and execute strategies for real-time data analysis and decisioning β€’ Collaborate with management, business partners, analysts, developers, architects, and engineers to support data quality efforts β€’ Work closely with the Data Science team to improve actionable data β€’ Be open and willing to learn new skills Qualifications β€’ Experience in data management, data access (Big Data, traditional Data Marts and Data Warehousing) β€’ SQL experience (including Spark SQL and DataFrames) current data warehousing design concepts for utilizing Redshift, Spark, Hadoop, web services, etc to support business-driven decisioning β€’ Experience in data architecture and data assembly β€’ Experience in Data Governance and Data Security β€’ Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Talend (preferred), Cascading) β€’ Experience with data manipulation scripting languages β€’ Experience with Business Intelligence, MDM, XML, SOA/WebServices β€’ Experience with Data Science toolsets and technology β€’ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science/data processing or equivalent β€’ Experience with Java programming and developing frameworks β€’ Experience with Amazon EMR/EC2 (or equivalent) β€’ 2+ years of experience with Python β€’ Experience with Bitbucket and a solid understanding of core concepts with Git β€’ Familiarity with Linux β€’ Familiarity with Jenkins and CI/CD β€’ A solid understanding of basic core computer science concepts β€’ Experience with AWS technologies such as Aurora, Athena, EMR, S3 β€’ Experience with Postgres and MySql β€’ Excellent Organizational and Project Management skills β€’ Outstanding communication skills The salary range for this role is $105,000 to $150,000 or the hourly equivalent.
