Role description
Title: AWS Cloud Engineer - AWS Connect Specialist
Day Rate: £500 - £550pd (Outside IR35)
Duration: 6+ Months (Contract)
Based: One day per month in-office (UK-wide) / Fully remote considered for the right candidate
Required Experience:
• Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud services across multiple production environments.
• Demonstrable experience delivering at least one project using Amazon Connect.
• Strong practical knowledge of AWS infrastructure including EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM, VPC, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Background in architecting and building scalable, secure cloud-native applications.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Any exposure to contact centre technology or customer engagement platforms is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement robust cloud solutions with a focus on high availability, security, and scalability.
• Take ownership of integrating and optimising AWS Connect within existing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Product Owners.
• Maintain clear documentation and ensure infrastructure complies with best practices and security standards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production environments, driving improvements in performance and resilience.
• Provide guidance and mentorship on AWS best practices across the team.
