Role description
This role focuses on designing, building, and operating AWS cloud infrastructure and services at scale. The engineer will work heavily with Terraform for infrastructure as code, support serverless and containerized workloads (Lambda, ECS, EKS), and own CI/CD pipelines and release workflows. The role has a strong emphasis on cloud security, networking, monitoring, and cost optimization, and will partner closely with DevOps, application, and data engineering teams to support reliable, secure, and scalable platforms.
Core focus areas:
• AWS infrastructure design and automation (Terraform, multi-account environments)
• Serverless and container platforms (Lambda, ECS, EKS, Docker)
• CI/CD ownership and DevOps collaboration
• Cloud security, IAM, and networking best practices
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational excellence
• Data integration and movement (Glue, DataSync)
Must Haves:
• 8+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services
Strong experience with:
• Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, AWS Lambda,AWS Glue, AWS DataSync
• Proven experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
• Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, and security groups
• Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and container orchestration using Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline)
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and operational best practices
Nice-to-Have:
• Experience working in multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations
• Experience with event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with Data lakes, MongoDB, Kafka
• AWS certifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
