Weβre seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join a high-impact technology team supporting a leading financial services client. Youβll play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native solutions with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design and implement AWS-based infrastructure to support complex financial applications.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements, ensuring scalable cloud solutions.
β’ Lead technical troubleshooting of distributed systems, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
β’ Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to improve system availability and incident response.
β’ Contribute to software architecture decisions and promote best practices across the technology stack.
β’ Monitor technology trends to advise on strategic improvements and modernisation opportunities.
β’ Support change and transformation initiatives in cloud adoption and digital delivery.
β’ Ensure compliance with risk, control, and regulatory requirements in all deployments.
Key Skills & Experience:
β’ Proven experience in AWS cloud engineering within financial or regulated environments.
β’ Strong background in distributed systems, infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and DevOps tooling (CI/CD, monitoring, logging).
β’ Deep understanding of risk and control frameworks relevant to cloud and financial platforms.
β’ Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to technology advisory and solution design.
β’ Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative teams.
Nice to Have:
β’ Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
β’ Familiarity with SRE practices and observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
β’ Experience with agile delivery and transformation programs.
