The Opportunity
CACI is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will become part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Datacenter Consolidation and Cloud Optimization (DCCO) program providing Tier 3 support to the DHS Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology (HART) biometric system. The Tier 3 team maintains the HART infrastructure by installing and configuring system software and hardware, monitoring system performance, resolving customer tickets within JIRA and supporting system incident troubleshooting calls. Tier 3 members closely interact with the government customer to achieve system objectives, provide ticket updates, and system status updates. Tier 3 members are expected to be on-call for a week at a time approximately 4 β 6 times a year. This role is entirely telework based with core hours between 9 am β 3 pm (EST) Monday β Friday; applicant must reside and perform all work within the United States.
Responsibilities
β’ Help develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network technology policy.
β’ Be responsible for the installation and configuration of new software and hardware, including the server network, devices, and firewalls.
β’ Be responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization.
β’ Plan for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.
β’ Manage user accounts and assets and assign and update security permissions on the network according to security policy.
β’ Provide support with escalated help desk requests.
β’ Perform typical system administrator activities.
β’ Review systems performance logs to identify anomalies and troubleshoot issues.
β’ Identify root cause and documenting troubleshooting steps to resolution.
β’ Support active directory/LDAP, certificate services, network communications, and group policy and security compliance.
β’ Provide Tier III support (problem/incident management).
β’ Work independently and in team settings to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables.
β’ Provide on-call support for a week at a time: approximately 4 β 6 weeks per year.
Qualifications
Required:
β’ U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government agency level clearance (the DHS EOD, which you must have prior to starting).
β’ 5 years of relevant Information Technology Experience.
β’ Experience administering Windows systems in a cloud environment
Desired
β’ Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Related STEM field.
β’ Cloud Systems Administration experience; AWS certifications a PLUS
β’ Experience using and performing system administration for CyberArk
β’ Expert knowledge of RHEL, Windows, & other open-source technologies.
β’ Knowledge of OpenShift, Splunk, Ansible Automation Platform, Jenkins, JFrog, and similar toolsets
