Role description
Role: AWS Data Engineer (Python / AWS Glue / Lambda / Kafka / ECS) Location: Malvern, PA / Dallas, TX / Charlotte, NC (100% On-site — Local candidates required for F2F interview) Duration: 6 Months (10/31/2026 – 04/30/2027) Pay Rate: $59.00/hr On W2 ($68.00/hr C2C) Role Summary Seeking an 8–10 years experienced AWS Data Engineer for a 100% on-site role in Malvern, PA, Dallas, TX, or Charlotte, NC supporting TCS deliverables. Candidates must be local to these areas to accommodate mandatory face-to-face (F2F) interviews. The ideal candidate will design and build high-volume, real-time, and event-driven data streaming pipelines using AWS ECS, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and Apache Kafka. This role requires strong hands-on development in Python to build RESTful APIs and microservices, alongside driving automation via GitHub Actions and DevOps CI/CD practices. Key Responsibilities • AWS Data Platform Development: Architect and build scalable, cloud-native data platforms using AWS Glue, Lambda, ECS, S3, and DynamoDB for batch and real-time analytics. • Event-Driven & Streaming Pipelines: Design and maintain resilient, high-volume data ingestion pipelines leveraging Apache Kafka and event-driven microservices architectures. • API & Microservices Engineering: Develop performant, secure, and maintainable RESTful APIs and backend data microservices using Python. • DevOps & Automation: Build and manage CI/CD deployment pipelines, source code control, and automation using GitHub, Docker, and AWS DevOps best practices. • Platform Resilience & Performance: Partner with cross-functional engineering and analytics teams to optimize system performance, ensure platform security, and maintain enterprise data availability.
