AWS Data Engineer / Data Scientist with AWS , Glue , AI/ML , Python , Pyspark , Redshift - Dallas TX - Onsite work - Contract - 12 + months Job Title: AWS Data Engineer / Data Scientist (AI/ML) Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer / Data Scientist with strong expertise in cloud-based data engineering and AI/ML solutions. This is a long-term onsite contract role in Dallas, TX, focused on building scalable data platforms, optimizing data pipelines, and enabling advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with AWS services, big data processing frameworks, and deploying ML models in production environments. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS cloud services. • Develop ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue and PySpark. • Write efficient, reusable, and scalable code using Python. • Design and manage data warehouse solutions using Amazon Redshift. • Develop, train, and deploy AI/ML models to support predictive analytics and business insights. • Integrate and transform structured and unstructured data from multiple sources. • Optimize data processing jobs for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. • Implement data quality, governance, and security best practices. • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders. • Monitor and troubleshoot production data and ML workflows. Required Skills & Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Data Science. • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform. • Proven experience with: • AWS Glue • PySpark • Python • Amazon Redshift • Strong SQL skills and performance tuning expertise. • Experience building large-scale distributed data processing systems. • Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. • Experience deploying ML models in cloud environments. • Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with additional AWS services (S3, Lambda, EMR, SageMaker, Athena). • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data and ML solutions. • Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes. • Experience working in enterprise data environments. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
