Position Overview
Experienced Senior Analytics Engineer required to join the Cervical Screening pathway to help build new data analytics pipelines.
Design and build a scalable data pipeline on AWS covering ingestion, transformation, validation and output generation to support cervical screening reporting needs
Develop and maintain a dedicated reporting database on AWS to move away from ad-hoc querying against the operational database
Leverage AWS services (e.g. Athena, S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions) to embed automated scheduling, orchestration and monitoring into the pipeline from the outset
Required Skills:
Requires strong SQL, Python, Cloud (AWS) skills and experience, along with strong knowledge of any BI tool (eg PowerBI, Tableau)
Implement data quality checks and maintain a clear audit trail across all data processing steps
Develop analytical reports and dashboards that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders and decision makers
Build and maintain repeatable analyses that can be used to monitor programme performance and support operational and clinical reporting needs
Produce clear, well-documented code and processes that can be understood and operated by others outside the delivery team
Operate in an Agile delivery team, using techniques like Paired Programming, TDD (Playwright), Code Management (Git / GitHub, DevOps / CICD), Cloud-based engineering) and general good programming practice (documentation, clean code, etc)
