Role description
Job Title: AWS Data Engineer Location: Remote (and ready to travel as needed by the client - Seattle, WA) Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: • The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in design and implementation of integrating SAP with other external applications like Oracle / Homegrown applications through AWS S3 / Redshift. This role involves working closely with business & IT stakeholders, to gather requirements, bring forward the industry leading practices to the client, design, and implement solutions. • 5+ years of experience working with business teams, understanding business requirements and translating those ambiguous requirements into technical solutions. • 5+ years of experience with Advanced Python, SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing. • 5+ years of direct experience with AWS technologies: • AWS Stack (Redshift and S3 mandatory. Preferred: EC2) • Big Data Platforms (Amazon EMR, Data Lakes) • Data Pipelines (AWS Glue, Serverless, Lambda, Step Functions) • Languages: SQL / Python • Experience in conducting design workshops, requirement gathering, configuration and testing • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to participate in design discussions and propose solutions. • Ability to participate in scrum calls and provide status updates.
