Role description
RED is currently looking for a Snowflake Data Warehouse Engineer for an initial 6-month contract with a high chance of extension. This role is suited to a hands-on Data Engineer with strong experience across Snowflake, dbt, SQL, data modelling, ETL/ELT design, and data warehouse development. You will be responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end data integration and transformation solutions within an enterprise-scale data environment. Contract Details • Role: Data Warehouse Engineer • Contract: 6 Months+ • Start Date: ASAP • Location: London • Work Model: Hybrid • Contract Type: Inside • Workload: Full-time Key Responsibilities • Design and develop scalable data warehouse solutions on Snowflake • Build and manage ELT pipelines using dbt • Write, optimise, and maintain complex SQL transformations • Integrate data from various sources using AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift where needed) • Implement data modelling best practices (star/snowflake schemas) • Ensure data quality, governance, and performance tuning • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights Required Skills & Experience • Strong experience with Snowflake data platform • Proven expertise in SQL (advanced querying and optimisation) • Hands-on experience with dbt for transformations and modelling • Experience with AWS ecosystem (S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM) • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts • Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) You will be working closely with engineering, analytics, and platform teams to define data patterns, build reliable transformation pipelines, and ensure data is structured, governed, and optimised for business use.
