Role description
We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to support a client-facing engagement focused on building scalable cloud-based data solutions. This consultant will design, develop, and optimize data pipelines that transform raw data into trusted, analytics-ready datasets while partnering with internal teams and client stakeholders.
Required: Onsite 3 days a week in Seattle WA
The ideal candidate has data engineering experience and deep expertise with AWS data services, including building ETL/ELT pipelines, designing cloud-based storage solutions, and supporting enterprise analytics initiatives. This individual should be comfortable partnering directly with clients, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and delivering high-quality data assets in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services.
• Design and manage cloud-based data storage, databases, and data warehouses.
• Transform, cleanse, and optimize data for reporting, analytics, and downstream applications.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance.
• Document technical designs, processes, and best practices.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout engagements.
Qualifications
• Data engineering experience.
• Strong expertise with AWS data services and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience designing and supporting data warehouses, databases, and analytics platforms.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in client-facing or consulting environments preferred.
