Job Title: AWS Data Platform Enablement Specialist (Trainer)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Platform Enablement Specialist to support our clientβs onboarding and training efforts. The ideal candidate will guide the clientβs technical team through the AWS-based data platform that has already been developed, provide knowledge transfer sessions, and be available to answer ongoing questions without impacting core delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Serve as the primary point of contact for the clientβs technical team during onboarding
β’ Conduct in-depth walkthroughs of the implemented AWS data platform, including:
β’ Data ingestion pipelines
β’ ETL/ELT processes (Appflow, Glue, Lambda Functions)
β’ Storage layers (S3, Redshift, etc.)
β’ Query layers (Athena, Redshift, BI tools)
β’ Monitoring and logging
β’ Clarify existing documentation and help fill knowledge gaps
β’ Assist the team with navigating AWS services and consoles
β’ Enable users to run and monitor jobs, troubleshoot common issues, and understand platform behavior
β’ Facilitate working sessions to build confidence in using and maintaining the platform
β’ Document recurring questions and provide tailored FAQs or cheat sheets
β’ Provide input on any missing documentation or training materials that would improve adoption
Required Skills & Experience:
β’ 4+ years of experience in cloud-based data engineering or platform support
β’ Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, especially:
β’ Amazon S3
β’ Open Table Formats (Apache Iceberg)
β’ AWS Glue (jobs, crawlers, workflows)
β’ Athena and Redshift
β’ Lambda, SNS
β’ CloudWatch (logs, alarms)
β’ Solid understanding of data pipeline architecture and development lifecycles
β’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills β must be able to simplify technical concepts for non-cloud-native teams
β’ Prior experience delivering KT sessions or onboarding support for cloud/data platforms
β’ Comfortable working independently and managing client interactions
Additional Qualifications:
β’ Experience with BI tools like Tableau, or SAC
β’ Familiarity with data governance and metadata practices
