AWS DevOps Engineer
San Antonio, TX (5 days onsite)
6 months contract to perm
MUST HAVE:
β’ must know tech stack, 3 yrs. in AWS/Azure, programming in C#/Core .Net, CI/CD pipeline design and management, Kubernetes, Elk or Splunk log aggregation, Terraform and/or CloudFormation and experience in an enterprise-level environment.
β’ An AWS Solutions Architect Developer certification moved from must have to HIGHLY preferred
β’ .Net/C# is non-negotiable. And it has to be development and build in .NET. We saw a lot of prior candidates who only had experience in migrations, not necessarily development.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
β’ AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer) required.
β’ At least three (3) years managing AWS infrastructure.
β’ At least five (5) years DevOps engineering experience.
β’ At least three (3) years Terraform or CloudFormation.
β’ At least three (3) years Azure DevOps CI/CD.
β’ A strong software engineering or programming background. Any language is acceptable but prefer experience with Python, C#, or .NET.
β’ Proven experience with industry standard monitoring and alerting tools.
β’ Proficiency with Docker, EKS, and microservice architecture in general.
β’ Proficiency with log aggregation tools such as ELK or Splunk.
β’ Architecting and deploying advanced cloud infrastructures within AWS.
β’ Solid understanding of web services, databases and related infrastructure/architectures.
β’ Solid understanding of backup/restore best practices.
β’ Release software through tooling (Azure DevOps, Github Actions, Jenkins, etc).
β’ Excellent troubleshooting skills.
β’ Experience supporting an enterprise-level technology environment.
β’ Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
β’ Excellent written and interpersonal communication, and documentation skills.
β’ Demonstrable experience with cloud security fundamentals.
β’ Excellent collaboration skills across various business units.
β’ βCan doβ attitude with a penchant for getting things done on time and on budget.
