Role: AWS DevOps Engineer Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: 8 months (extensions available) Work Location: 100% remote, with monthly travel to Croydon, Manchester or Sheffield IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Industry: Government Interview Process: MS Teams, 1 Stage SC Clearance: Must be pre-cleared to SC Level Urgently hiring for a mid-level DevOps engineer to work in a team of talented infrastructure specialists. This will be an opportunity to work on software for a greenfield project. Responsibilities: • Deployment and maintenance of resources onto AWS • Creating infrastructure in line with design documentation • Developing, migrating and integrating customer workloads into AWS • API testing and updating API documentation where necessary • Monitoring and supporting services in the cloud, using infrastructure as code • Deployment of cloud resources in-line with architecture for hosting applications • Using DevOps principals to automate end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for testing and monitoring • Development of in-house scripts and tooling for automation and streamlining of tasks • Support and troubleshoot infrastructure, service and configuration incidents • Undertake directed code reviews and use refactoring techniques • Design, correct and test programs and code scripts, as well as defining test conditions • Ensure a secure and compliant environment Essential Skills: • You MUST be pre security cleared to SC level • 3+ years’ experience in DevOps Engineer roles • Experience in AWS (including Lambda & SQS) • Skilled in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and using Docker • Experienced in programming languages: Terraform, Python, React • Experience using Elastic & Kibana (data integration and data mapping) • Experience in SSO • Experience in API testing, mocking & error-handling • Knowledge of cloud security practices • Familiar with Agile practices Desirable Skills: • Experience working on microservice architecture • • PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT PRE-CLEARED TO SC LEVEL • •
