Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled AWS Engineer to join our team supporting a leading client in the mortgage industry. The ideal candidate must have strong experience with AWS EMR and Glue, as well as a deep understanding of data engineering and automation tools. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex infrastructure and data platforms while collaborating in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and support AWS cloud infrastructure using services like EC2, SSM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
Build and manage data processing workflows using AWS Glue, EMR (Spark/Hadoop), and PySpark.
Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, including module creation and management.
Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using Terraform, GitLab, Ansible, or Python.
Provide 24/7 production support, including troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and data pipeline issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.
Create documentation and present technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
β’ Proficiency in AWS Glue, EMR (Spark/Hadoop), and PySpark is mandatory
Strong skills in Python and Unix Shell scripting
Solid experience with Terraform, especially in creating and managing reusable modules
Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab
Excellent troubleshooting skills in a production support environment
Strong communication, time management, and presentation skills
Nice to Have (Preferred):
Experience with Informatica, Ab Initio, or other ETL tools
Previous work in the mortgage or financial services industry
