Role description
AWS Engineer:
The AWS Engineer architects and manages the secure, scalable AWS foundation powering agentic AI workloads. This role drives infrastructure automation, gateway management, security controls, and monitoring frameworks to ensure seamless, self-service AI agent development and deployment at enterprise scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Provision and administer core AWS infrastructure, including Bedrock AgentCore runtime and associated CSP AWS services.
Configure and manage enterprise Identity & Access Management, leveraging IAM, Cognito, and Okta SSO integrations.
Develop and maintain platform components such as memory stores, policy enforcement engines, and browser-based tooling.
Deploy and operate gateway solutions, including MCP Gateway (AgentCore/Kong), LLM Gateway (multi-model routing), and AWS Bedrock integrations.
Manage containerized and compute environments, including Docker builds, ECR repositories, EKS clusters, and EC2 instances.
Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform modules) and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Terraform Enterprise).
Establish and manage RAG data infrastructure using PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift.
Build and maintain MCP server tools for API integrations and browser workflows.
Enable multi-LLM integrations across AWS Nova, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude/Opus, and Gemini models.
Implement end-to-end observability and monitoring using CloudWatch, X-Ray, Splunk, and New Relic, including dashboards and alerting.
Design and support platform APIs across REST, SOAP, GraphQL, OAuth2, streaming protocols, and A2A communication frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of AWS platform engineering experience with hands-on expertise in Bedrock, AgentCore, EKS, and ECR for scalable AI workloads.
Strong proficiency in Terraform (IaC, modules, state management) and Jenkins CI/CD pipeline development.
Deep experience in API gateways and LLM routing (Kong, MCP, rate limiting, guardrails) along with enterprise IAM, Cognito, and Okta SSO integrations.
Solid understanding of observability stacks (CloudWatch, X-Ray, Splunk, New Relic) and distributed system design for secure, multi-tenant AI platforms.
Nice to Have:
Previous enterprise AI platform builds (Bedrock Guardrails, AgentCore gateway deployments).
Multi-model LLM gateway operations (model routing, cost optimization, SLAs).
Only U.S. Citizens are eligible to apply for this position.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
Benefits:
Paid time off
Work Location: Remote
