AWS Lead Developer with Java Contract Remote Job Description We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform & Kubernetes Expert to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing AWS services. This role requires deep expertise in AWS cloud services, automation, CI/CD, security, and scalability best practices. The ideal candidate will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to optimize cloud environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance. Key Responsibilities: Experience in Microservices architecture with Java. • Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable cloud solutions leveraging AWS services such as EC2, S3, SQS,KMS, Protegrity ,VPC, Postgres SQL, Lambda. • Implement, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring smooth operation and seamless integration with AWS services. Focus on aspects such as networking, ingress, services, pods, security, and troubleshooting. • Experience with infrastructure as code tools e.g.,Terraform • Implement security best practices for AWS and Kubernetes, including IAM roles, policies, encryption, mTLS, and certificates management. • Work with teams to design scalable, high-performance solutions that support growing infrastructure requirements. Focus on cost optimization and efficient resource usage in cloud environments. Partner with development, security, and operations teams to ensure infrastructure meets application and business needs while adhering to security and compliance standards. • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure optimal performance and availability. Troubleshoot issues with Kubernetes clusters, networking, and AWS infrastructure. Key Skills: • Experience in architecting, deploying, and managing AWS cloud solutions with a focus on scalability, security, and high availability. • Strong hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters, including pod management, networking, ingress, volumes, and security configurations (mTLS, certificate management). • Experience with automation and orchestration tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI,). • In-depth knowledge of AWS security services and Kubernetes security best practices, including IAM, security groups, VPC. • Proficiency in using IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, • Experience with monitoring solutions like AWS CloudWatch. • Ability to identify and resolve infrastructure and application issues in complex, distributed systems.
