AWS Solution Architect

Interim Solution Architect - Financial Services Robert Half is recruiting on behalf of a global consulting firm for a hands-on Solution Architect to deliver critical design work for a platform transformation in the financial services sector. The role focuses on designing cloud-native, secure web applications and API frameworks across distributed data environments. Key Details: • Start: ASAP (2-week onboarding window) • Location: Hybrid - City of London (1-2 days onsite) • Duration: 6-month contract, likely extension • Rate: £600.00 per day via PAYE (PLUS 12.07% holiday pay - PAYE with employer's NI & tax deducted at source. No umbrella company admin fees.) Requirements: • Deep experience designing scalable enterprise web applications across financial services • Strong AWS cloud experience across application and integration layers • Familiarity with design of APIs, data lakes, BPM processes, and microservices • Track record of working with engineering and risk functions to deliver secure solutions • Comfortable designing for high-resilience, regulated environments in financial platforms Preferred: • Background in financial data platforms, index providers, or investment/asset management • Experience in BPM tooling and leading application modernisation efforts • Working knowledge of real-time data services or trading platforms Additional: Full financial/criminal checks will be carried out.
