Job Description:
Our client is seeking a technical lead to support the project manager and technical project manager by handling technical responsibilities across multiple pipelines involved in the data modernization initiative for the department. This role involves providing expertise and guidance to ensure the successful execution of technical aspects within the project.
This role will provide guidance and mentorship to developers, perform thorough code reviews, and promote a collaborative and supportive team environment. Make certain that the team adheres to the project schedule and timeline, maintains high-quality standards, and produces code that is both reliable and efficient. Serve as the intermediary between developers, product managers, and stakeholders, effectively translating requirements into clear technical tasks. Implement best practices and comprehensive documentation to enhance overall efficiency and streamline workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Provide guidance and mentorship to developers.
• Support project manager and technical project manager by handling technical responsibilities across multiple pipelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders to collect requirements and suggest effective modernization strategies.
• Support teams in designing, developing, and testing Java-based, cloud-native applications and backend systems.
• Help teams design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines.
• Assist teams in analyzing data models and business requirements.
• Perform data validation by querying the database to ensure data is accurately inserted, updated, and deleted, maintaining data integrity.
• Aid teams in designing, creating, and executing test cases.
• Support teams in validating back-end logic and data processing that may not be immediately visible through the user interface.
• Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to understand data needs and guarantee thorough test coverage.
• Assist teams in using AWS services within application architecture.
• Help teams develop, test, debug, and deliver projects on time using the best tools and practices.
• Assist teams with code reviews, enforce security best practices, and maintain clean, efficient code.
• Support monitoring of application performance and optimize for cost, security, and reliability.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and challenges.
• Ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
• Work with product managers, business stakeholders, and team members to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
Knowledge and Experience:
• Proficient in utilizing AWS services and related components towards building enterprise level Data Lakes.
• Experience working with any transactional or RDMS databases
• SQL - Writing Complex Queries, understanding Database Relationships, debugging and performance tuning
• ETL tools - Hands-on experience with cloud-based tool
• Understanding data modeling
• Knowledge / experience using any ETL tools, experience with data analytics using PowerBI or AWS QuickSight etc. is plus.
• Must have experience/familiar with Agile/Scrum Framework environments
Required Skills:
• 7 Years - Proficient in using various AWS services (e.g., VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue Crawlers, Athena) to build and manage cloud
• 7 Years - Experience leading and mentoring technical teams
• 7 Years - Experience in modernizing applications, including refactoring, migration, and cloud-native development.
• 7 Years - Knowledge of modern database technologies and strategies for migrating and modernizing database systems
• 7 Years - Experience working with creating AWS ETL jobs, data pipelines with high volumes of data
• 7 Years - Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools
• 7 Years - Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Java - strong Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework & hibernate technology.
• 7 Years - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
• 2 Years - Experience with data analytics, business intelligence solutions (like Power BI or AWS QuickSight)
