Role description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Azure API Developer with proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs within the Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure API Management (APIM), RESTful services, and cloud-native development best practices. Prefer Perm US Residents. Green Card or US Citizen. Hybrid Role: Able to do some onsite in Atlanta, 2 weeks onsite initially and then hybrid after that. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain APIs using Azure API Management (APIM), Azure Functions, Service Bus, and Logic Apps. • Implement API security using OAuth2, Azure AD, and other identity and access management protocols. • Ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems through well-structured API design. • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve API-related issues, ensuring reliability and optimal performance. • Conduct code reviews and enforce development best practices. • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for API deployment using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. • Monitor and optimize API performance with Application Insights and Azure Monitor. • Document APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and efficient cloud-based solutions. Required Skills and Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM) and RESTful API development. • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C#, Python, or Java. • Deep understanding of cloud-native development, Azure services, and cloud infrastructure. • Experience implementing authentication and authorization using Azure AD and OAuth2. • Strong grasp of CI/CD practices and deployment automation tools. • Familiarity with Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and other storage solutions. • Experience with Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and performance optimization. • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of GraphQL or hybrid API architectures. • Azure certifications such as Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) or Azure Solutions Architect. • Experience in DevSecOps or API gateway performance optimization.
